  • TEACHER QUALITY: The State of California requires preschool teachers to have a minimum of 12 units (4 classes) in Early Childhood Development; ALL of our teachers have University (Bachelor’s) Degrees in Early Childhood Development or are currently working on their Bachelor's degree.   • STAFF-TO-STUDENT RATIO: The State of California requires a maximum ratio of 12-to-1. Our ratio is 6-to-1.  Every Light of Christ preschool class has a dedicated Teacher’s Aide.

Light of Christ Lutheran Preschool is accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA). We are a School Ministry Partner in the Pacific Southwest District-LCMS and affiliated with the Lutheran Education Association. Our program is licensed by the California State Department of Social Services, License Number 300603211.


Interested in a tour of Light of Christ Preschool?

School tours are conducted Monday – Thursday afternoons, 1:30 to 4:30 pm with the Director. The tours last 15 to 20 minutes. We feel that it is important for you to meet the staff and experience our school atmosphere as you decide on the best school for your child. Bring your children for the tour! You will want to see if your child is comfortable in our school setting. After November 1st we begin our Wait List for preschool enrollment for the following school year. If you are interested in sending your child to Light of Christ Preschool next year, please call the Director for a tour and placement of your child’s name on our Wait List.

 

Families who are new to our school:
In November, we conduct preschool tours and begin compiling a list of new families interested in enrolling for Fall 2024. If you are new to our program and are interested in our school, please call the school office at (949) 786-3997. 

For returning families:
If you are a returning family and plan to enroll a younger sibling in our 2-year-old or 3-year-old program, contact Sheryl to put their name on the list. Returning families already have a priority number for classes beginning in the fall.
